The Other Toledo

Renowned illustrator and husband to Isabel, Ruben Toledo has teamed up with upmarket retailer Nordstrom for their Spring 2008 advertising campaign. Featuring models in designer dresses and accessories, the backdrop 20x30 foot walls were painted by Toledo and shot by photographer Ruven Afanador. I really like the black-and-white graphic backdrop, in bold brushstrokes of birds, swirls and waves; which sets off the dresses beautifully.
