Silly Supper: Knit Your Heart Out

No one does knit better than 2007 Hyere's Fashion Festival Grand Prize winner, Swedish fashion designer Sandra Backlund. Another graduate of Stockholm's Beckmans College of Design, she launched her label in 2004. Her pieces, mostly 3D knitted garments, are a result exploring traditional hand-knitting techniques which she learned from her grandmother from a very young age. Nothing short of extraordinary (as you can tell from theses pictures), Backlund describes that her ideas comes from a very personal space and serves as an outlet for expressing herself because she has "strong opposites within myself that are really powerful".
