This is how the fashion industry works. Every now and again, we have designers departing from one label and joining another, unless you're King
Karl or an independent designer-cum-label owner. It's almost like musical chair but this year, we saw
Galliano fired from Dior, De Carnin leaving Balmain and now,
Hannah MacGibbon parting ways with
Chloe. Taking over from
Paolo Melim Andersson in late 2008, MacGibbon actually managed to churn out about 5 seasons of pretty pretty for French label
Chloe. Londoner MacGibbon started off assisting at Valentino in the late 90s and subsequently became
Phoebe Philo's assistant until 2006.
