Wikipedia describes him as one of the most sought-after patternmaker (or modeliste in French) in New York with his own atelier in the big apple. In this video, he explains the work of a patternmaker - in its purest form, is a true mastery of skills and technical knowledge. This profession is often overshadowed by the glitz and glamour of the head fashion designer (aka Creative Director). Little do people know the creation process lies with the patternmaker/draper, whom without we will never see these magnificent pieces coming down the runway
