Thanks to a new acquaintance, Beans, I came across a Southern Californian artist
Mimi Yoon, who does a number of 'self' portraits with street art influence. Qualified as a graphic designer, she is also the founder of community art academy,
Artis Art Academy that teaches kids from kindergarten to grade 12. She uses mixed medias in her artwork, although her medium of choice is acrylic. I thought her work is quite interesting, as she does a lot of portraits of this particular woman, whom she claims is not of herself. Funny that because I find the mysterious woman looking really like Yoon herself. Have a look and see what you think
