Galliano's Swan Song

By now, we all know that Dior has dismissed Galliano following his drunken outburst of anti-Semitic remarks in La Perle Cafe, Paris. Just days before Paris Fashion Week. I, for one, was waiting to see his 'last' collection for Dior. I was slightly disappointed because I was expecting more from him. Alas! And the last couture show Galliano did for Dior also fell a little short on the wow factor so perhaps this is goodbye? But having said that, I still have tremendous respect for his talent, creative genius, extraordinary showmanship and vision.

Let's put it this way - whilst the remarks were utterly disgraceful, I don't think the issue would become this scandalous if he's just another average Joe, drunk as a skunk in a cafe. I have had nastier things said to me by those homeless drunks/druggies on the streets. I do feel for Galliano, the poor man was so drunk he was slurring.

Here is Dior's Fall 2011 RTW Collection, all images sourced from www.style.com

Romantic bohemian in brilliant colours
One of my fav pieces from this collection - check out the surface technique
Tasteful combo even with knicker-style shorts, knee-high boots with britches and crazy fur
Lightness and romantically feminine in Directoire's influence
One of my fav piece - exquisite black Chantilly
Too sweet for me but a simple jacket with frilled edges is all I need this winter
Almost like something that I would expect from Frida Giannini
Anyway, Galliano, I will keep a lookout for your comeback, because I still respect your immense talent and creative genius
