Inspired by the philosophy behind "Hacking Couture", Swedish fashion theorist and designer Otto Von Busch conducted a 1/2 day workshop based on 'fashion hacktivism'. He believes that we can turn (unwanted) garments from our wardrobe into something creative and highly fashionable. He advocates that the process of re-creating 'new' pieces from our wardrobe not only allows us to express our creativity and individualism, but it also represents taking an ownership towards creating a more sustainable fashion industry
The workshop was conducted in August 2009, at RMIT Brunswick.
