Portrait Of A Beautiful Lady

Born in 1977, Takeshi Ohgushi is a Japanese illustrator who conbines traditional painting technique to create modern fashion figures. Self taught, he uses the bijinga technique, which find its origin in Japanese woodblock printing of the ukiyo-e era. This is also reflected in his choice of medium, using ink and calligraphy brushes. He has collaborated with fashion bigs like Pucci, Anteprima and Isetan, and is now based in Hayama. He cites Miyuki Morimoto as one of his earliest creative influences.
